The intent was to debut the AEGIS BMD history on a new site – AEGISBMD.org / SM-3.org – on the 20th anniversary of initial deployment operations – 9-30-04. However, a lot of real life got in the way this summer. For the meantime, AEGIS BMD content to date is parked here courtesy of the Arleigh Burke Association, and AEGISBMD.org and SM-3.org point to their site.
As with the other lines of endeavor, it is not easy to recapture the last 30 years. If something is missing, please help us find the information.
Similar to our other efforts, the data is divided as follows. We are not archivists, as our data pile grows, there may be a better way to organize this.
