South African sailors embarked on the guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke wave to their native ship SAS Amatola during joint maneuvering drills. The South African sailors are embarked on Arleigh Burke as part of a crew swap between the two ships to familiarize Sailors with a foreign navy’s operation and lifestyle.
